At Haven Retreat, a modern house straddling Devon and Cornwall, we offer Adult Only accommodation comprising a one-bedroom spacious and bright studio apartment with its own private sunny patio. We also have two private large double en-suite rooms.
Our accommodation can be booked as a whole or separately and is light and airy throughout, smoke and pet free with a simple walk down to the stunning local beach.
You can leave your car off road on our ample car park for your whole stay at no extra charge as there is a regular bus route.
The self-contained studio apartment has a separate bedroom - with super king-size bed, toilet/shower room and open plan lounge/dining area/kitchenette. French doors lead to a private, south facing sunny patio overlooking the garden - where you can unwind and spend an evening relaxing and dine alfresco. It also has its own private entrance and off road parking.
The two private rooms have a king size and single bed, each offering double/twin options. Both have private en-suite toilet/showers and tea/coffee making facilities. There is private off road parking available and use of shared patio/garden by arrangement.
We are situated within a peaceful, secluded location in the sleepy, rural village of Crackington Haven on the scenic North Cornwall coast.
In the village on Tuesdays you will find a pizza van serving delicious wood-fired pizzas and on Wednesdays there is a Fish and Chip Van offering freshly cooked food.
At the local beach you will find a cosy pub/restaurant and two bistro cafes - all of which serve excellent locally sourced food and offer views to the dramatic Cornish cliffs, beach & Atlantic Ocean where on an evening you can experience spectacular Cornish sunsets. The beach is a perfect spot for water sports and sunbathing. For walkers there is a choice of local walks including one of the best stretches of the famous Coastal Path offering miles and miles of dramatic scenic walking which you can take at your own pace.
Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or an activity break: walking, water sports, history, culture, wildlife, photography, sightseeing, cycling, golf, somewhere peaceful to pursue your passion e.g. writing, painting, or just somewhere to get away from it all - this is the place for you.
We offer a Haven for adults to relax, unwind and enjoy time in tranquil surroundings allowing you valuable time to ‘recharge your batteries’ while getting away from the responsibilities and daily grind of everyday life. In the West Country there are numerous places you can go ‘off grid‘ and ‘lose yourself’ for a while.
You are spoilt for choice of eateries in the area from a la carte fine dining to floating restaurants to local homemade Cornish pasties, the real thing! There is also a cinema a short drive away.
If you prefer to leave your car to go exploring further a field then a regular bus service provides links to the local towns, village and cities.
There are endless miles and miles of quiet scenic roads if you are looking for a touring holiday, whether by car, motorbike, cycling or on foot.
Local places of interest are: picturesque Boscastle, mystical Tintagel, Doc Martin’s pretty Port Isaac and Polzeath. At Wadebridge – you can rent bikes for the day and explore very popular Camel Trail.
A short drive will take you to Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor or the mysterious countryside of the Tamar Valley with its abundance of scenery, historic buildings, activities and attractions – all too many to be listed here.
